Trapped

Bars of steel surround you,
cold as ice, thick as wood,
yet with the ability to bend,
to bend, not break...

You're fighting to break free,
to be free of this prison!
Yet the cage is too strong,
and you are too weak...
Bars of steel surround you.

Looking all around...
It's a gift to see reality.
But then you focus, seeing, knowing!
Reality unfolds itself before you.
Your gift is actually a curse.

Silently sitting in this cage,
you're the master of the universe,
you can do anything, ...anything that's possible.
..anything but breaking free...
And with seeing comes awareness,
through that you realize...

You look more closer at this cage.
It seems to soften, and turn bright white.
You look even closer,
to discover the very fabric it was made of.
You're trapped in a cage,
a cage made of logic.
